One bold move could change the course of your entire life.

That happened for me when I was in college. I took a risk and participated in a discipleship program that radically impacted my relationship with Jesus and still reverberates in my life today. Participating in that program rocked me to the core. It exposed who I was, but it also revealed to me who I truly was and who I could become in Christ. Ever since that experience I have poured my life into others in obedience to Jesus’ call to make disciples.

Over the last 11 years I have worked closely alongside Pastor Dan to help lead the college age ministry at Lincroft Bible Church. My greatest passion is to see women mobilized for God’s mission and living out His call for their lives to make disciples. I have a heart for the church to be faithful to Jesus’ call, and I want to play my part and live in obedience to that call.

Participating in a catalytic discipleship program was powerfully formative in my life, and I want other young women to have the same opportunity that I had.

Vocationally, I work as a manager in a small company, and as a leader in the workforce I try to leverage my influence there to bear the image of God and make disciples. But, my greatest passion is for young women in the church to really know and follow hard after Jesus.

On a personal note, I love deep and important conversations, really good food (especially cheese), fun, and lifelong faithful friendships.

My greatest desire is for a revitalization of the biblical vision for women discipling other women in the church. I want every young woman who is a follower of Jesus to know Jesus and grow into who He is calling them to be. I have had the privilege of people pouring into me to help me walk in my calling. That has changed every aspect of my relationship with Lord and my perspective on disciple making. I want other women to have the same opportunity for growth. Ascend is a way to catalyze that learning process in women throughout the church, as their first step in learning how to be discipled, to disciple.

One of my greatest passions is to see young people mobilized to make disciples among all nations. Jesus calling to make disciples takes place in a global context. I am pursuing that calling through a missions agency called Apex which seeks to mobilize college age men and women for world missions. As I stepped into my job of mobilizing college students to experience life overseas, more and more women began to share their personal desire to learn what it means to disciple, and be discipled. They know they cannot teach others to follow Jesus if they are not following themselves.. God is beginning to do powerful work in the hearts and minds of women to wake them up to His calling on us to be active in the church. I want to be a part of what God is doing for His church, for the world, and for the next generation.

It is such a blessing to me that Ascend is a ministry of my home church. We believe that true life long discipleship takes place through and from the local church. As we invite women in, invest in them, and send them out, we hope and believe that God can use the tools they’ve learned here for the glory of His name in whatever local context He calls them to; from New Jersey to the ends of the earth.
